We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for six categories in this year’s Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) including the Postgraduate study category. This recognition is particularly meaningful as it stems directly from our students’ feedback.
Over 36,000 student reviews collected nationally this year provide prospective students independent insights on how institutions are delivering for students, and serve as an invaluable and unbiased resource for researching higher education options.
If you’re considering your further education options, browse the course options on offer, or even book our Postgraduate Open Evening to find out more. Our Senior Chaplain, Revd Dr Gill Reeve will be leading the Memorial Service for Mark on Friday 16th May at 2.30pm in Chapel, Exton Park, followed by refreshments in the Senate House Exhibition Space. Everyone is welcome to attend.
We are also very sorry to let those of you who were taught by Professor Timo Obergöker know the deeply sad news that he has recently passed away after a short but aggressive illness. Enjoy “Spring Greening” – explore the great outdoors!
Whether it’s a short walk during your lunch break or a hike during the weekend, there is evidence to back that being active is a “natural mood booster” and one of the best things we can do for our mental health. Here in the North West we are very lucky to have a wealth of natural spaces to enjoy, with Birkenhead Park, Sefton Park, Delamere Forest and Wirral Way just being a miniscule of the natural space we have access to. Wherever you are in the world, there’s pockets of greenery just waiting to be explored!

Consciously engaging in relaxation exercises can help to reduce stress, relive pain and improve sleep. Breathing techniques are a great starting point when learning to relax and are the core to most relaxation techniques .Try one or more of the following; Square or box breathing, the 4,7,8 breathing exercise or the Abdominal Breathing. For the greatest benefit, try the techniques at a time of day which works for you, in a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed and then practise!
