Sustainability tip of the month

Doing a spring clean? Send your items to a new home!

With the new, brighter season comes the desire to update our wardrobes. The best thing we can do is redirect good-conditioned items from going to landfill, whether that be via British Heart Foundation (BHF), your local charity shops or online second-hand shops like Vinted. Last year our students donated over 1,500 bags of items to BHF as part of the University’s ‘Moving Out’ campaign – making a positive difference both for the charity and our environment!

Wellbeing tip of the month

Managing Stress – There are many stressors in our lives and, if you are feeling stressed, the first thing to do is to try and identify the cause or causes. Avoid turning to unhealthy ways of coping such as alcohol or caffeine; instead look at positive and healthy ways of managing your stress like getting organised, being active and connecting with others. Check out this Every Mind Matters video about managing stress.
