University of Chester is in the top five for high-skilled graduate employment in the North West

Employability fair

The annual Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) is the UK’s largest annual social survey and covers all graduates from universities and colleges in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

It is carried out annually with UK graduates 15 months after completing their studies. It shows that Chester’s performance has risen again this year, maintaining its upward trajectory and continuing to exceed national averages in key areas.

The University placed in the top five in the North West for graduates in high-skilled employment and outperformed national benchmarks, with 89.8% of graduates in employment or further study. This underlines the University’s commitment to preparing students for life beyond graduation. Chester also ranks second highest in the North West for graduates feeling their work is meaningful (87.8%), well above the sector average of 82.5%.

In the category of careers ‘On Track’ Chester graduates feel confident about their career trajectory with a score of score of 82.3%, outperforming the sector (73.4%) and post-1992 (higher education institutions that became universities in 1992) peers (71.3%).
